Ice Cream Sandwich set for Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime may have been delayed but it looks like being worth the wait. Asus has just confirmed that the laptop transforming tablet will be getting dosed up with the latest Ice Cream Sandwich Android update as early as next week.
The latest update will bring the world’s most powerful laptop more in-line with the latest Android operating systems, making the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime even more of a joy to use.

Ice Cream Sandwich confirmation came via Asus’ official Facebook page, where Asus says that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime worldwide from January 12th 2012 in an update that will also see improvements to the focus of the camera.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime was originally due for a 2011 launch, but a delay has seen the tablet slip into 2012. Thankfully, gadget fans, there isn’t long to wait. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is available to pre-order right now ahead of its January 5th release date.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is currently the most powerful and specced tablet around, packing a quad-core processor, up to 32GB of solid state storage, 1GB of RAM, two cameras and a HDMI port for watching high definition (HD) movies you download on a HD television. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer comes with a keyboard dock that also extends battery life to a not too shabby 18-hours.

Provided there are no reliabily problems, this should be greatest thing since the ZX Spectrum. I love the idea of powering the tablet from the keyboard, this allows the use of a larger battery than can be fitted in a tablet. That's my kinba thinking, bravo. I shal be saving up some hard earned quids to obtain my own as soon as I can.
