HTC Vertex HD tablet to take on Google Nexus 7 and iPad Mini?
In a year of new tablet releases, HTC may be about to unveil another, called the HTC Vertex. Signs of the new tablet were spotted after a benchmark test listing its specs was supposedly leaked, revealing a new Android Jellybean tablet with a 1.3GHz nVidia Tegra 3 processor. More details of HTC’s potential Nexus 7 beater, this way.
The allegedly leaked specs would indicate that HTC is planning to throw a trump card in the face of the new Asus Google nexus 7 tablet by unveiling its own Android Jellybean tablet.
iPhone 5 and mini iPad prototypes leaked
The specs (as reported by Phandroid) reveal a tablet, thought to be codenamed the HTC Vertex, with a 1280×752 display and what sounds like a decent 1.3GHz nVidia Tegra 3 processor capable of going toe-to-toe with tablets currently on the market.
Little else is known about the Vertex, but it is thought it will be around 7-inches in size. As smartphones appear to be getting larger displays, it appears tablets are getting smaller.
The Google Nexus 7 is a new tablet from Google (built by Asus) that also measures 7-inches. Meanwhile, Apple is also rumoured to be making a new iPad Mini, also said to have a 7-inch display – a couple of inches smaller than the size of its current iPad range.
Should the HTC Vertex be released any time soon, it will face some tough competition from both the Nexus 7 and Microsoft’s new Microsoft Surface tablet. And even more should the Apple rumours ring true.
Which of the 7-inch tablets will be getting your cash? Will you be plumping for a Google Nexus 7, or are you waiting for the new iPad?

The Nexus 7 sounds like the best currently available 7" tablet, though if this has a Micro SD (nexus 7 has no expandable memory) then the HTC would be where my money would go...Apple's smaller iPad would definately NOT be one i'd have any interest in, as the price and lack of flexibility would make it not competitive for my requirements.
