HTC joins the 3D smartphone game with the Evo 3D

HTC joins the 3D smartphone game with the Evo 3D HTC's new friend for the LG Optimus 3D to play with

First we had the LG Optimus 3D, and now we have the HTC Evo 3D – the second 3D-capable smartphone just announced over in the States.

Like the Optimus 3D it makes use of autostereoscopic 3D technology so you don’t need the glasses at all, and likewise there’s a switch of you want to switch the 3D effect off altogether.

HTC hasn’t held back on the rest of the spec either, decking out the Evo 3D with a next-gen 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4.3in qHD screen. As with its LG rival you can shoot 3D footage at 720p courtesy of the twin-5MP cameras, or at 1080p if you go with 2D.

It’s one of a growing band of 4G-capable phones that have hit the US market recently, but with our own networks not quite there yet there are currently no plans to bring the Evo 3D to the UK. But hopefully the 3D tech will find its way into another phone that is headed this way before too long.

I have a HTC desire but I really want a 3d smartphone, I think more companies should start manufacturing them as I think they would be really popular.

iPad with 3D, i doubt it, when do Apple ever give what tconsumers REALLY want? (NO RESTRICTIONS) this is why there is such a large divide between consumer opinion over apple and non restricted gadgets!
