HTC Desire X: Turbo Android phone on sale now!

Last month, we got hands on with the HTC Desire X, HTC’s new mid-range Android smartphone packing Android 4.0 and a slick new design. Now, we’re happy to report, it’s gone on sale in the UK for the first time. But just how much will it set you back?

As of right now, you can order the HTC Desire X SIM-free or on contract. Both Clove and Unlocked Mobiles are stocking the new smartphone, priced up at £228 and £217.98 respectively. Considering you’re getting a sharp four-inch screen and a dual-core processor for your money, that’s not a bad bargain at all.

HTC One X+ unleashed: Hands on with the best Android phone yet

On the contract side of things, we’re seeing the HTC Desire X starting at just £13.50 per month with no upfront cost on O2, with unlimited texts, 50 minutes of calls and 100MB of data.

All in all, the HTC Desire X is shaping up to be an impressive effort for those who’d prefer something slightly less oversized than a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and a lot less expensive than the iPhone 5. We’ll bring you a full HTC Desire X review in due course so stay tuned.
