Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition cruising to PS3

Sony looks set to re-release Gran Turismo 5, in the form of a Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition for PS3. The ‘new’ racer will feature all post-release Gran Turismo 5 downloadable content, including car packs, course packs and what sounds like an exclusive new motor come 26th September.

The car and course packed Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition will cost PS3 racing fans £19.99. For the price, PS3 owners will get the full games, and all the DLC that has so far arrived for the game, post-release.

That means all the course and cars players could ever want. The full package includes the Complete Pack (Car Pack, Course Pack, Special Paint Pack, Racing Gear Pack).

Also included will be Car Pack 2, Car Pack 3, and Course Pack 2. Together the Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition should feature enough cars, courses, and customisation options for players to get stuck into, without having to spend extra.

The Nissan GTR driven by Gran Turismo designer Kazunori Yamauchi at this year’s Nurburgring 24-hour race will also feature.

Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition, complete with all the above lands on 26th September for £19.99. Fans of the series yet to play, may find it a bargain. Rival Forza Motorsport 4 also comes highly recommended. See the full Forza Motorsport 4 review at the link below.
