Gaming classic Doom returns to Xbox Live Arcade

Forget your Call of Dutys and your Halos for just a few minutes, because an all-time first-person classic has arrived on Xbox 360. id Software classic, Doom is now available on Xbox Live Arcade.

Doom has previously appeared on Xbox Live Arcade but was pulled in 2010 due to expired rights for the game. So it’s good to see an all-time classic back in front of gamers where it belongs. 



Max Payne 3 delayed till May

Doom was released way back in 1993, and is still considered to be the father of first-person shooters. For that alone Doom, at a cost of 400 Microsoft Points (£3.43) on Xbox Live Arcade is well worth your time.

id Software’s latest game RAGE released late last year on PS3, PC and Xbox 360, so Doom is a great way to spend some time while waiting for its next project. If you’ve not played it yet, you are missing out on an all-time gaming classic.
