Gadget Show Live 2012: VRX iMotion the £20k racing rig we wish we owned!

Want to add to your wish list? Well, The Gadget Show Live 2012 is the place to be! The latest addition to our list is this £20k racing rig. The VRX iMotion just might be the most beautiful gaming set-up we’ve laid eyes on. Seeing it for ourselves made us want it even more. We challenge you to not feel the same.

Primed and tailored for the most die-hard (and well-heeled) racing fans, the VRX iMotion isn’t called “one of the most sophisticated driving simulators in the world” for no good reason. We know, we were lucky enough to experience it for ourselves.

Check out LA Noire Touch Edition

The VRX iMotion is built with professional-grade components throughout, delivering the kinds of breakneck experiences you’d only get were you to hitch a ride with a professional racer.

Using its D-Box Motion Code, the VRX iMotion uses motion effects that a sent to a motion generating system to generate all kinds of pitch and roll and up to 2Gs of acceleration. Brake dampeners and proper aluminium pedals and a Sparco racing seat deliver that authentic look and touch. And just look at that fully adjustable 3 monitor display. It’s just like being on the track.

A Bose Companion 5 speaker system outputs 5.1 sound for games and music. The VRX iMotion uses a Logitech G27 force feedback steering wheel, but we’re told any wheel from any car in the world can be custom-fitted, tweaked and tailored to fit on the unit.

The price for such excitement runs steep, mind. You won’t get much change from £20k, but we can only dream. Now, where are those lottery tickets?
