Dual-screen Samsung DV300F digital camera for self portrait lovers

As gadget fans prepare to create new memories for the new year ahead, Samsung has announced a new compact point and shooter camera to help capture them. The Samsung DV300F is the latest in the company’s DualView range.

As seen in the picture above, the Samsung DV300F features a second LCD screen on the front to make taking self-portraits a lot easier. For a cheap price, photo fans can expect some good specs. More on those this way.

The front LCD screen measures 1.5-inches diagonally, and is designed to blend in well with the rest of the design of the Samsung DV300F. With more of us joining social networks such as Facebook, cameras such as the Samsung DV300F can take the hassle out of creating that perfect profile picture pose, or at the very least, reduce the amounts of takes required to achieve it.

Besides a second LCD screen, the Samsung DV300F features a 16-megapixel sensor and Wi-Fi connectivity built-in, so you’ll be able to share your latest snaps and videos with services such as Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.

Video-wise, the Samsung DV300F shoots in 720p high definition at 30 frames per seconds. The Samsung DV300F has a 5x optical zoom and a 25mm wide-angle lens that should make panoramic shots that much easier. Other features such as Magic Frame and Funny Face lets you shoot pictures and insert others on top of them, and add hilarious expressions to unsuspecting subjects.

The Samsung DV300F is expected to hit the shops around March in the U.S. A UK release date has yet to be announced, so keep an eye out for more on the Samsung DV300F when we hear it.
