Crysis 3 official, details firing in on April 16!

It appears that EA accidentally confirmed Crysis 3 via its Origin service, displaying box art and messaging with its armour-wearing protagonist clutching a bow and arrow. Hurrah. EA has since confirmed the rumours: saying that come April 16th (next Monday!) much more will be revealed. Read on to find out more about the Crysis 3 official launch.

The first Crysis 3 sighting came via a Russian website claiming that the sequel to the futuristic shooter will hit the shops in spring 2013.

Wii U may cost £190 just to break even

As we’ve already mentioned, details are still scarce, but it sounds like the action will once again take place in New York: a heavily battered New York that now resembles a jungle, to be precise.

An image accompanying the original rumour depicts the Nanosuit-wearing hero wielding a bow and arrow, so it looks like we’re set for some Rambo-style arrow-slinging. The original Crysis was set in a jungle, so Crysis 3 sounds like it will bring the best of both worlds following the urban setting of Crysis 2.

And with Crysis 3 (supposedly) being set in New York it seems the next in the series will be another direct follow-up to the events of Crysis 2, rather than a standalone sequel.

But until then, we await more exciting details from EA next week, CVG reports. We’ll let you know what those are as soon as we hear them. Who’s looking forward to this one?
