CoPilot Live turns Androids to satnavs Turning phones into satnavs, it's CoPilot Live for Androids

Navigon may have brought turn-by-turn satnav to iPhone, but what for those of you with Android mobiles? Well, CoPilot Live for Android has just been launched to keep you from getting lost, and it will work with the upcoming HTC Hero.

Turning your Android phone into a fully-fledged satnav, CoPilot Live is available on Android Market with UK and Ireland maps (£25.99) or European maps (£59.99) if you fancy taking a trip to visit our Gallic cousins and don’t want to get lost in La Rochelle with Francois.

So what exactly does CoPilot Live bring to the Android table? The software features a range of online services, including real-time traffic alerts, five-day weather forecast information and a new location sharing service called CoPilot LiveLink that will let users share their location with friends using CoPilot. Otherwise maps appear as they would on a dedicated satnav with turn-by-turn navigation, safety camera updates, and voice directions. Absolutely no excuses for getting lost now!
