BlackBerry 10 'London' touchscreen phone spotted in wild
The next generation of Blackberry phones will look and feel like no BlackBerry before. For an idea of just how different the new BlackBerry smartphones will be, take a look at that image above.
What you see is the BlackBerry London – a new BlackBerry 10 handset that looks like it has more in common with the BlackBerry PlayBook in design than more familiar BlackBerry handsets, such as the BlackBerry Bold.
The image, posted on CrackBerry.com is said to be a leaked slide featuring some details about what looks like being called the BlackBerry London. According to the slide, the BlackBerry London will deliver a change in identity and user-experience to the BlackBerry phone range, and be a powerful phone capable of making the most of top quality apps.
Little else was detailed on the slide, but we can see that the BlackBerry London will have a front-facing camera (as well as a rear camera), and no physical buttons on the front, opting for what looks like a large touchscreen.
BlackBerry phone-maker RIM is tipped to be thinking about injecting the BlackBerry London with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with a view to launching the device late this year at the earliest.
Of course, more on the BlackBerry London when we hear it. BlackBerry users – what are your early thoughts?
