Black and White ‘iPhone 5’ appears online

A photo of what could be the iPhone 5 has appeared online, showing what could be another early glimpse of the front panel of the black and white versions. It’s the first time pictures of a white model have surfaced, suggesting Apple will have a white iPhone available at launch.

The white iPhone 4 in 2010 was notorious for its delay in reaching the public, so potential iPhone 5 owners will be pleased to see the above photo as potential evidence that a white iPhone 5 does exist.

The photo reveals a change to the position of the front-facing camera, moved to the centre of the device, above the earpiece, rather than to the left of it, like the current iPhone. Rumours of a slightly larger 4-inch display may also ring true, with a 16:9 display to bring movies downloaded through iTunes to life.

It’s not the first time photos of the iPhone 5 are said to have leaked. Last week saw alleged photos of engineering samples appear online, also revealing a larger iPhone, alongside a smaller model of iPad.

The Photobucket account hosting the above photo is also said to be the same that leaked the dimensions of the new mini iPad, too, adding some consistency to the rumours. Given the popularity of previous white iPhone models, a white iPhone 5 could race off the shelves.

Will you be waiting in line for one? Or has your arm been twisted by the Samsung Galaxy S3?

Jim, the source has the image of the black and white covers, though these leaks need to be treated with a pinch of salt. The S3 looked morning like the leaked photos.

All I see is a case which looks like every other iphone case. Nothing is ground breaking just the same. I mean a lot of people buy apple products because they respect him for bringing up a successful business from nothing. Isn't that what everyone did.
