Android Jelly Bean operating system set to replace Ice Cream Sandwich?
We haven’t even seen the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android yet, but already Google is working on the next iteration – said to be called Jelly Bean. While we can imagine plenty of current handsets struggling to run the next-gen OS, we’d love to know what features it offers, and just how much of a step up from today’s version of Android it will be.
Android has come a long way over the past two years, with bugs being ironed out and the OS getting more and more stable with each iteration. With manufacturers also adding their own user interfaces over the top, the OS is almost unrecognisable from the software launched on the first G1 Android handset.
The next version of Android – Ice Cream Sandwich – is set to launch before the year is out, and will be tailored to both smartphones and tablets. At present, very little is known about the version after that, apart from the rumour that it will be called Jelly Bean.
What features would you like to see on the OS? If you’re currently an Apple devotee, what would it take to make you switch? We’d love to know your thoughts, so leave a comment below.

I can imagine Jelly Bean being largely a patch version. Ice Cream Sandwich, being the first phone/tablet hybrid will undoubtedly introduce a number of 'feature' to the mix ;) To be fair as far as required features go Gingerbread pretty much has everything needed covered, perhaps best emphasised by the number of feature Apple borrowed for the next update ;) Ironic given Apples current patent battles.

#djosh444 close, except all the names are not only alphabetical but are also named after deserts or sweet things so your fruit theory might be a bit out
