American Revolution character for Assassin’s Creed 3 leaked

An image showing what appears to be the main character in Assassin’s Creed 3 has appeared online, suggesting an American setting for the next game in the popular free-roaming stealth series. It’s time to start getting excited.

The image is the very first sliver of detail to emerge about the plot that Ubisoft has so far kept under wraps. It shows who we can assume to be the main character standing in front of US flag holing a Tomahawk and what looks like a Musket firearm. Look a little closer and you can see the character is also carrying a bow and arrows on his back – a clue to where the character might hail from.

Assassin’s Creed 3 to launch on October 30th

The image was sent to Kotaku by a Best Buy employee. It comes from an employee news section of documents, also revealing that Ubisoft will do an official reveal itself on March 5th ,and confirm a number of pre-order goodies to be packaged with the game when it finally hits the shelves.

In another development Game Informer (seen on <a href=” ”>NeoGAF) also appeared to leak a piece of art for the game showing what looks like the main character in battle with George Washington, again lending weight to the American Revolution setting.

Again, Ubisoft has yet to confirm anything just yet, so for now we’re just looking forward to this big reveal in the next few days. We can’t wait.
