Acer beams out new pico projector
Acer has announced a slew of new gadgets this week. The hero products include an all-new Aspire One netbook, and a monitor that jumps online even when you’re not, but our favourite is the K11 DLP digital pico projector.
The sleek little black box has a resolution of 858×600, but it manages to pump out an impressive 200 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. Despite this, it’s claimed that the tiny wonder will provide a 20,000hr lamp life. That’s a lot of Arnie movies.
It’s a well-connected little box too – there’s an HDMI socket nestled alongside the usual VGA and composite AV ports, as well as an SDHC card reader and a USB port.
It’s thought that the K11 DLP will retail in Europe for around €500 later in the year.
