LG shows off 72 inches of 3D loveliness
3D's future is big... very big
LG has given us an exciting glimpse into the future of premium home entertainment with the stunning new 72LEX9 – a 3D TV measuring a whopping 72 inches across.
It may just be for the Korean market right now, but there’s certainly nothing wrong with us drooling over the long list of high-end 3D features we can look forward to when the likes of the 72LEX9 heads our way.
As if the very fact that it’s 3D isn’t enough, images should genuinely jump off the screen thanks to the 480Hz TruMotion panel LG has chosen to front its 3D monolith – a full LED-backlit display boasting a quite astounding 10 million to 1 contrast ratio.
You also get four HDMI ports for connecting up the long list of home cinema goodies you’ll want to hook up to the 72LEX9, along with future-facing features such as a USB port, wireless AV link, DLNA support, and built-in YouTube and Picasa support.
As for the most important bit, we’re talking about the second quarter of next year in terms of global availability and a suggested retail price around £4,500 – which quite frankly is a bit more reasonable than we were fearing.

I can't imagine what Mrs Bentley will say when Jon brings this badboy home!

She'll probably say "How on earth can we afford that, we aren't on benefits?!"
