TOMB RAIDER REBOOT REVEALED

Next week we’re sure to see gaming scoops coming at us from all sides as E3 kicks off in Los Angeles. We’ll be bringing you all the latest news right here at The Gadget Show, but to whet your appetite you should check out Square Enix’ first gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated Tomb Raider reboot, released online earlier today. Although the game is clearly still in development – it’s not out until March 5th 2013, to be exact – it’s been very warmly received by the online community.

See what all the fuss is about by checking out the trailer for Tomb Raider right here on our site.

ORANGE MICRO TERROR

We get a lot of gadgets sent to us for testing here at the Gadget Show offices, and one that’s caught our eyes (or should that be ears?) this week is the Orange Micro Terror – a compact guitar amp that we’ve been using as an iPod speaker all week … mainly because, we’re embarrassed to say, none of us here can play guitar.

The good news is that a full review appeared on our site recently, and we’d recommend checking it out

YOUTUBE COMES TO PS VITA

Sony have made some interesting announcements recently about the apps soon being made available on their Playstation Vita. For example, Skype has already been confirmed, and next up would appear to be YouTube.

Not earth-shattering – that is until you realise that it will open the door to HD YouTube videos on that 5” OLED screen. Sony promise that all the functions we’re already familiar with on YouTube apps for other platforms (search, favourites, etc) will feature.

You can see Sony’s announcement over at Playstation.blog

SPOTIFY ‘HOUSE PARTY’, TONIGHT

With it being Friday, we’ve got a musical story to end the week with – and one that you can take part in! Tonight, Spotify will broadcast a live DJ set from Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia and Alesso in their first ever Spotify ‘house party’.

Spotify have said that “the DJs will be sharing some of their favourite tunes ‘live’ inside the app, including the single “Calling (Lose My Mind)”, due to be released in the UK on 27th May. Fans can then vote directly in the app to decide what tracks will be played next. The two DJs will also be chatting directly to their fans inside Soundrop with the party in full swing”

It all kicks off at 19.00 tonight, and you can access the party directly from their Soundrop link. There’s also more info over at Facebook on the official event page.

Have a great jubilee weekend!
