I was interested that you integrated a pico beamer into a jacket on your show, but I'm not surprised the shoes won... both my wife and daughter thought they were kewl!!! I have done some research into pico beamers and think that some of your ideas are actually applicable today. A pico beamer could be used as an eBook reader. Some of these devices come with SD card readers are installed with a PDF reader. As you showed, beaming onto a surface close to a reader is not a problem. These beamers are smaller and lighter for example than the Kindle or other readers with integrated screen and could give someone a more natural reading experience... i.e. holding a piece of paper with an image beamed onto it. I'm interested in devices that can be used as ecoGadgets. I have developed dictionary software for mobile phones, PDA and games consoles, which travellers can use instead of paper dictionaries. An eco-note... for every 120 paperback books one tree is cut down which would provide eco-benefits worth two grand a year... I wont leave my web address, but you can work it out from my eMail address! Cheers interesting show!
